Short answer: Need help? Confused? Have something to say? Please do!

Long-ish answer:

What to wear?
First and foremost, be comfortable. Not only will there be games and dancing, but surely you wouldn’t want to spend hours in the already relatively hot Maltese almost-summer in something too tight, too stiff, too itchy or any other version of uncomfortable. The average temperature in May is 20°C, however, it tends to get chilly at night.
We’ll be aiming for a somewhat vintage or hipster feel, which means the decor will include bow ties, lace, old bookcases, candles and fairy lights, traditional flowers and the occasional funny socks. And anything else we feel like, so don’t you be shy either. Check out the pictures below for some inspiration.

What about gifts?
The most important and valuable present we can receive is your presence on our special day, to witness the moment we embark on this adventure together.
We recognize that especially for those of you travelling from far away, simply attending is already a significant expense. Combining that understanding with the fact that we (ok, let’s be honest, mostly Lilian) love handicrafts, DIY and quirky, thoughtful things, any such gifts are very welcomed and appreciated. Of course, that wonderful day should not be a source of stress for anyone, so for the more traditional gift givers among you, a gift that fits into an envelope will make us just as happy and thankful.

How do I get back home?
We will make sure that you get a taxi home if you would like one after the wedding party. Contact us for more details, we’ll take care of the rest.

If this is your first time in Malta…
Hopefully, some of these notes will help you feel welcome.

Areas and accommodation Madliena Lodge is towards the northern side of Malta, so you may want to lodge around this area. Whilst Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay is a high-standard and reliable choice, there are other options such as Holiday Inn (St Julian’s) or Maritim Antonine (Mellieħa) based on Booking.com reviews. You can also find great deals on Airbnb with sea view apartments available all throughout the island. Avoid hotels in the Paceville area unless you want to party all night, every night.
